SURÁ is made with the heart!

SURÁ is the name of an emerging pop-rock band from Caracas, Venezuela. Their name means heart, and it is original from an Indian tribe in Mexico called “The Tarahumara.” In a few words, the band fires its first bullet straight to the hearts of their fans, with just knowing a bit about its name. Founded on August 31, 2011, Surá is made up of four young musicians who compose their own songs, mostly influenced by different pop and rock bands from Latin America. Their beginning consisted of recording their first single called “Cuando te conocí,” and its subsequent music spreading through social media. The fans’ feedback was immediate. Their first promotional song had such a fast downloading pace, that the band was rapidly requested to perform in different events. Although these events had a medium impact in terms of audience, promotional media tours came afterwards, with considerable number of interviews for newspapers and radio stations in Venezuela. The bomb was heating already…

Perhaps the essential ingredient for a musician is the talent, but it does not work alone. When it comes to successful path sketching you need to have a well designed marketing strategy. In this sense, the management team working behind the band consists of a press chief and the manager himself. QR downloading codes, show openings, and video recordings are some of the steps that SURÁ has taken as part of a short but intense professional career. Their performances vary from high school events, to private parties, to opening concerts for national and international enshrined artists such as: Guaco and Dulce María, respectively. Almost 55,000 YouTube video views in eight months indicated that something better was about to come. The temperature level was rising more and more without stopping…

Their increasing popularity in Venezuela called the attention of one of the biggest independent music publishers in the world. The band reached an agreement to record their first album with Peermusic. Recording sessions took place at Miami, Florida in September 2012. The conditions for the bomb to finally explode are set. Peermusic collaboration is expected to act as the match, which finally ignites the bomb and projects love lyrics into fans’ hearts.

SURÁ’s first album is expected to release in January 2013, so girls, allow this fresh sound to tell your personal love stories… you won’t regret!
