As many of you have already noticed, my primary professional
niche is the Latin Music Industry. During the last 30 or 40 years, Miami has
established itself as the capital of Latin Music in the world. Different
artists not only include Miami as an important place to promote, but also have
the city as their headquarters to operate from there to Latin American
countries.
This time I would like to write about a very interesting
event, when it comes to the Latin Music Industry as a whole. Hispanicize is an event created to
gather trendsetters, marketers, brands, bloggers, innovators, filmmakers,
celebrities, and media related to the Latin entertainment industry once a year.
Although it is a relatively new event (the first edition took place in 2010), Hispanicize is already an iconic event
within the Latin Music industry scene. It is the perfect opportunity for
networking with big brands and discovering the new trends about marketing in
the Hispanic world.
Official recap video of Hispanicize 2013
The advisory board of the event includes high executives from
brands including The Coca-Cola Company, Verizon Wireless, Live Nation,
Universal Music Group or Telemundo Media. Impressive speeches from successful musicians
and entrepreneurs like Emilio Estefan, have also been part of the schedule of
this singular event.
Hispanicize’s 2013
schedule was composed of conferences, red carpet film premieres, Q&A
sessions, and parties for four continuous days. The Eden Roc Hotel in Miami
Beach hosted the last edition of Hispanicize,
giving the perfect touch to this outstanding event right at the beach. The 2014
edition will take place in the heart of Miami, at the InterContinental Hotel in
Downtown Miami. Although you need the festival organization’s approval to participate
in this event, more than 1,200 influencers of the industry are still present
every year. It is the place where the Latin entertainment tone is set year by
year.
If you are a blogger, social media enthusiast or you are somehow
related to the marketing side of the industry, do not miss this event. It is
more than a conference and more than a regular event. Hispanicize is an exciting platform for social media experts,
brands and trendsetters to interact and get the Latin Music Industry to the
next level.

Luis,
ReplyDeleteTo start, Miami is really the capital of the Latin Music industry for the whole world? Aside from that, I am glad you chose to highlight this event for your blog. Regardless of the industry, these types of events are vital to the life that industry, in an increasingly social media conscious world. I notice you wrote that you need the influencers approval to participate, but is there an open floor for visitors? Also, will you be going?
Hey Richard,
DeleteYes, I am planning to attend Hispanicize 2014. As far as I know, there is not an open floor for visitors. Probably, certain parties or activities could be open for general public, though. I guess that it will be clear, as soon as the 2014 schedule is published. I'll stay tuned!
Thanks for you comment!
